Same company different name, they should know better. Still the same old same old, and i’m not talking about Brett Favre either. I’m talking about Bret that works in the auto and tire center at the Sam’s Club in Montgomery. How about I get to my car one day this week and it’s dead; turn the key nothing happens. So I’m like okay I’ll just jump it off and take the battery to get tested. I go to Sam’s, and I already knew my battery was dead because I had already jumped it off twice to get there. Well how about one of the guys that works there (Bret or Brent) played like he was testing my battery and told me, “No sir your battery is good, it just needs charging and we don’t charge batteries go to Advanced Auto or Auto Zone.” Take mental note he had to jump my car off again so I could go to a place that could charge it.
I think he was mad because I parked my car by the dock door because I knew it would need to be close because it wasn’t going to crank anymore. I was second in line we he came and asked me, “what’s wrong with you car” and asked “Could you move your car for me?” He could have just manned up and said, “Hey I don’t want to check your car, I have a tire to change and some sweeping to do.” That’s better than telling me, “Your battery is fine sir” and then I go to Advanced Auto on Taylor road, 5 minutes away, car jerking and shaking the whole way and my battery went from, “It’s fine” to “Sir your car is running off the alternator, your battery has 10.49 volts.” So I’m like yeah okay what’s it supposed to be? And the guy at advanced auto said “It’s supposed to have 480 volts.” I was like man I was just told by old Bret boy at the Sam’s Club on the eastern blvd. (and that’s 1080 Eastern Blvd. to be exact, tire and battery department) that my battery was grade A and this guy tells me I riding on straight alternator. Don’t let Bret pump your gas cause if he don’t feel like it, he’ll just tell you he did it knowing he hadn’t done anything. (In my Rick James voice off Dave” Chappelle).
I guess another case of the customer is always wrong and will never be right unless they want you to be. I know I won’t be going to get anything car related from there anymore unless they selling top notch air fresheners. You went in on that man Green! I know what you mean though bruh, it could have been approached from a totally different stance. Too many follow the rules to escape the responsibility of thinking for themselves. He didn’t have to try and play you homie! He played himself!

I had a little run-in at that Sam’s too. I got a full set of tires, they put them on with no problem. But my tire pressure light kept coming on afterwards. I took my car back twice and they kept telling me it should go off by itself.
Okay, they are the mechanics, but I know my damn car. I told them the light would not be on if there was not a problem. They checked the pressure & it matched correctly. But when I drove for a couple of miles it would come back on.
Finally, I had to take my car to my good friends at Goodyear and let them get my tires straight. I have not had a problem since.
I don’t know if Sam’s send their mechanics through school or training, but it wouldn’t hurt.
